Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug an Ethernet cable from your network switch into the LAN port on the phone. Use the PC port to connect a computer if desired.
  2. Connect Handset: Plug the coiled handset cord into the jack marked with a handset icon.
  3. Power the Phone: Use the provided power adapter OR ensure your network switch provides Power over Ethernet (PoE).
  4. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug a headset into the 3.5mm headset jack.

WARNING! Use only the provided or approved power adapter. Ensure cables are routed to avoid tripping hazards.

First-Time Setup

Once powered, the phone will boot and attempt to contact the configuration server.

  1. Network Configuration: The phone typically receives its IP address and settings automatically via DHCP. Check the display for the assigned IP.
  2. Extension Registration: Your system administrator will provision your extension. The phone will register automatically if pre-configured.
  3. Verify Operation: Lift the handset or press the Speaker key to get a dial tone.
  4. Set Preferences: Use the Options menu to set language, time/date, ring tones, and volume levels.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to reprogram system-level settings without administrator guidance.

Connecting to Network

  2. Connect the network cable to the phone's "LAN" port.
  3. Connect a PC cable from the phone's "PC" port to the computer's network port.
  4. The phone will obtain an IP address. View it under Options > Status > Network.

Tip: Use standard CAT5e or higher Ethernet cables for reliable connectivity.

Basic Operation

Making and receiving calls.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset OR press Speaker, then dial the number. Use the dial pad or a programmed speed dial key.
  2. Answer a Call: Press the flashing line key, press Speaker, or lift the handset.
  3. End a Call: Hang up the handset or press the Speaker key again.
  4. Hold: Press the Hold key during a call. Press the held line's key to retrieve.
  5. Mute: Press the Mute key during a call to mute your microphone. Press again to unmute.
  6. Adjust Volume: Use the Volume Up/Down keys during a call for handset/speaker volume, or while idle for ringer volume.
  7. Transfer a Call: Press Transfer, dial the destination number, announce the call, then press Transfer again to complete.

WARNING! Do not expose the phone to liquids. Keep the handset cord untangled.

Advanced Features

Call Forwarding: Set via Options menu or feature code (e.g., *72). Conference: Use the Conf/Join soft key to add multiple parties. Speed Dial: Program keys or use abbreviated dialing codes. Headset Mode: Toggle between handset and headset using the Headset key or soft key. Message Waiting: LED indicator lights when you have a new voicemail.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays directly on the phone.

CAUTION! Never immerse the phone in liquid. Avoid getting moisture in openings.
