Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on a stable, flat surface.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will attempt to boot and contact the provisioning server.

  1. Network Registration: The phone should automatically obtain an IP address via DHCP and register with the IP telephony system.

  3. Set Preferences: Use the Options menu to set language, time/date, ring tones, and volume levels.

Making and Receiving Calls

Basic call handling procedures.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset OR press Speaker. Dial number using keypad. Press Dial softkey or wait for auto-dial.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press Speaker, or press the Answer softkey when ringing.
  3. End a Call: Place handset on-hook or press the EndCall softkey.
  4. Hold: Press Hold softkey during a call. Resume by pressing Resume or the flashing line key.
  5. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial the target number, announce the call, then press Transfer again to complete.
  6. Conference: During first call, press Conference, dial second party, then press Conference again to join all parties.

WARNING! For emergency calls, always provide your location and callback number to the operator.

Advanced Features

Call Forwarding: Set via phone menu or codes (e.g., *72). Voicemail: Press the Messages key or dial your voicemail access number. Programmable Keys: Assign speed dials, busy lamp fields (BLF), or feature access. Headset Operation: Plug in a headset; use the Headset key or softkey to answer/end calls hands-free.
