Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug an Ethernet cable from your network switch/router into the LAN port on the phone.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Plug your computer's Ethernet cable into the PC port on the phone.
  3. Apply Power: Use the included power adapter OR ensure your network switch provides PoE.
  4. Connect Handset: Plug the coiled handset cord into the dedicated jack.
  5. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug a 3.5mm headset into the headset jack.

WARNING! Use only the provided or approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

The phone will boot and attempt to obtain network configuration via DHCP.

  1. Initial Boot: Wait for the phone to complete its startup sequence. The display will show initialization messages.
  2. Check Network: Verify the phone has an IP address via the "Settings > Status > Network" menu.
  3. Configure SIP Account: Enter your SIP server address, username, and password via the web interface or phone menus. (Consult your system administrator for details).
  4. Set Language and Time: Navigate to "Settings > User Preferences" to set language, time zone, and date/time format.
  5. Test Call: Lift the handset or press the Speaker key and dial a test number to verify audio and registration.

CAUTION! Do not unplug the phone during firmware upgrades as this may cause permanent damage.

Advanced Call Features

The phone supports standard enterprise telephony features.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset OR press SPEAKER OR press HEADSET, then dial number.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press SPEAKER, press the flashing LINE key, or press ANSWER soft key.
  3. Call Hold: Press HOLD key. Press the held line's key or RESUME soft key to retrieve.
  4. Call Transfer (Blind): During a call, press TRANSFER, dial target number, then press TRANSFER again.
  5. Call Transfer (Attended): During a call, press TRANSFER, dial target number and announce call, then press TRANSFER to complete.
  6. Three-Way Conference: During first call, press CONFERENCE, dial second party, then press CONFERENCE again to join all parties.
  7. Call Forwarding: Activate via "Features > Call Forward" menu or web interface. Set to always, busy, or no answer.
  8. Do Not Disturb (DND): Press DND key or enable via menu to silence ringer and send calls directly to voicemail.

WARNING! Emergency calls (e.g., 911) may have location limitations with VoIP. Understand your service provider's emergency calling capabilities.

Accessibility Features
