Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable desk surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect LAN port to network switch. Use PC port to connect a computer.
  2. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into RJ9 handset jack.
  3. Power the Phone: Use Power over Ethernet (PoE) from switch or connect the optional AC power adapter.
  4. Connect Optional Headset: Plug into RJ9 headset jack.

WARNING! Use only the provided or approved power adapter. Ensure cables are routed to prevent tripping hazards.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and attempt to obtain network configuration via DHCP.

  1. Check Network Registration: Observe display for IP address and registration status.
  2. Configure SIP Account: Access menu via NAVIGATION keys to enter SIP server, username, and password provided by your system administrator.
  3. Set Language: In SETTINGS menu, select preferred language (default is ENGLISH).
  4. Set Date/Time: Configure manually or via NTP server.
  5. Program Keys: Assign line appearances, speed dials, or features (BLF, call forward) to the 12 programmable keys.

  1. Speed Dial: Program numbers onto programmable keys for one-touch dialing.
  2. Busy Lamp Field (BLF): Program a key to monitor another extension's status.
  3. Call Transfer: Press TRANSFER, dial target number, press TRANSFER again or hang up for blind transfer.
  4. Conference: Establish a call, press CONFERENCE, dial next party, press CONFERENCE again to join.
  5. Call Forward: Activate via menu or programmed key to forward calls to another number.
  6. Do Not Disturb: Activate to send calls directly to voicemail.
  7. Directory: Access local or corporate directory to place calls.
  8. Headset Operation: Press HEADSET key or programmed key to toggle headset mode.
