Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable from switch/router to phone's LAN port.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from phone's PC port to computer.
  3. Power the Phone: Use Power over Ethernet (PoE) or connect external power adapter.
  4. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset jack.
  5. Connect Headset (optional): Plug into 3.5mm headset jack.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure network cables are securely connected.

First-Time Configuration

Phone will boot and attempt to obtain network configuration automatically.

  1. Network Setup: If using DHCP, phone will configure automatically. For static IP, use keypad to enter settings via Options menu.
  2. Server Configuration: Enter IP address of Mitel communications server if not auto-discovered.
  3. Extension Registration: Enter extension number and authentication credentials as provided by administrator.
  4. Date & Time: Set via network time protocol (NTP) or manually in settings.
  5. Language: Select display language (default ENGLISH).

CAUTION! Configuration changes may require administrator access. Do not unplug during boot process.

Basic Call Handling

Making and receiving calls:

  1. Make Call: Lift handset or press Speaker/Headset key, dial number, press Dial softkey or wait for auto-dial.
  2. Answer Call: Lift handset, press Speaker, or press Answer softkey.
  3. End Call: Replace handset or press EndCall key.
  4. Hold: Press Hold key during active call.
  5. Mute: Press Mute key to toggle microphone on/off.
  6. Volume Adjustment: Use volume keys during call for handset/speaker/ringer volume.
  7. Redial: Press Redial key or select from call list.

Tip: Use headset for hands-free operation by pressing Headset key.

Advanced Features

Supported features depend on system configuration:

  1. Call Transfer: Press Transfer, dial destination, press Transfer again or wait.
  2. Conference Calls: Press Conference during first call, dial second party, press Conference again.
  3. Call Forwarding: Configure via softkey menu or administrator.
