Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a stable, well-ventilated location.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable from switch/router to phone's LAN port.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable from phone's PC port to computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset jack.
  4. Power the Phone: Connect AC power adapter or ensure PoE is active on network.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; it will attempt to boot and contact configuration server.

  1. Network Configuration: Phone may obtain settings via DHCP automatically.
  2. Check Registration: Observe display for extension number and registration status.
  3. Set Language: Press Settings key, navigate to User Preferences > Language.
  4. Adjust Audio: Set handset, speaker, and ringer volume using volume keys.
  5. Program Keys: Assign functions (speed dial, call pickup) via Settings menu.

CAUTION! Do not place phone in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

Access menus via Settings key or softkeys under display. Front Keys: MUTE, Volume rocker, Navigation cluster, Speakerphone, Hold, Transfer, Conference, Redial, Message.

Connecting to Network

LAN: Primary Ethernet port. PC: Secondary port for daisy-chaining.

  2. Connect phone's LAN port to network switch using Cat5e/Cat6 cable.
  3. For PC connection, link PC to phone's PC port.
  4. Power via PoE or external adapter.
  5. Phone will display boot progress and obtained IP address.

Tip: Verify network cable is securely plugged in if phone fails to boot.

Basic Call Handling

Make, answer, hold, transfer, and conference calls.

  1. Make Call: Lift handset or press Speaker, dial number, or use speed dial.
  2. Answer Call: Lift handset, press Speaker, or press flashing line key.
  3. End Call: Hang up handset or press Speaker key again.
  4. Hold: Press Hold key during active call; press again or resume from line key.
  5. Transfer: During call, press Transfer, dial target, press Transfer again to complete.
  6. Conference: During call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference to join.
  7. Redial: Press Redial to call last dialed number.
  8. Mute: Press MUTE key; red LED lights. Press again to unmute.

WARNING! Avoid using phone during electrical storms for safety.

Advanced Features

Call Forwarding: Set via Settings > Call Forwarding (Always, Busy, No Answer). Do Not Disturb (DND): Activate via softkey or Settings; calls go to voicemail. Message Waiting Indicator: LED on handset lights for new voicemail. Speed Dials: Program keys for one-touch dialing. Headset Mode: Plug in headset; answer/end calls with headset key.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.
