Installation & Physical Setup

Unpack the phone and inspect contents. Choose a stable, well-ventilated location.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug Ethernet cable from your network switch into the LAN port on the phone.

  1. Obtain IP Address: The phone will request an IP via DHCP by default. Check the screen or use ** to view the IP address.
  2. Server Assignment: It will contact the configured provisioning server (e.g., MiVoice Business) for its configuration.
  3. Verify Registration: The display will show your extension number and name once registered.
  4. Set Preferences: Use the Options menu to set language, time/date format, ring tones, and volume levels.

CAUTION! Do not unplug the phone during boot or firmware upgrade. Configuration is typically managed by your system administrator.

Basic Call Handling

Making, answering, and managing calls.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press **SPEAKER**, dial number, or press a programmed speed dial key.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press **SPEAKER**, or press the flashing line key.
  3. End a Call: Hang up handset or press **SPEAKER** again.
  4. Hold/Retrieve: Press **HOLD** softkey or assigned key. Press the held line key to retrieve.
  5. Transfer: During a call, press **TRANSFER**, dial target number, announce, then press **TRANSFER** again to complete.
  6. Conference: During a call, press **CONF**, dial second party, press **CONF** again to merge.
  7. Redial: Press **REDIAL** or the ** softkey to call the last dialed number.

WARNING! Emergency calls (e.g., 911) may require specific configuration. Confirm with your administrator.

Advanced Features

Programmable Keys: Can be configured for Speed Dial, Call Park, Busy Lamp Field (BLF), Do Not Disturb (DND), etc., via administrator web interface.
